Pros: Termini station is across the road.
Cons: It looked nothing like the photo's.

I use BugEurope from time to time to locate hostels when i am travelling. I find people's reviews generally helpful and i also like the fact that this site often has the a link to the hostel's website. I believe photo's are important - especially if there are no reviews. In the case of this hostel.... the website looks quite snazzy and would make the hostel look clean if not spacious. A-ha! But the photo's were taken with a wide angle lens.. The rooms and strangely enough, the bathroom on the Dino website - look really clean and the bathroom looks brand new even. This is not to be the case.. think old & tiny, mouldy and in need of renovation. I never had any hot water when i was there - i stayed for 3 nights and 1 night i had 'warm' water. Everyone else in my room were jealous because they all had cold water. There was no linen included. Everyone used their sleeping bags.. this is a blatant lie on their website. There is no baggage storage in the sense of having a locker. There are cupboards that can't be locked so what's the point. They also charge for baggage storage ie. 5 euro for half a day when you check out. (all hostels i've experienced do not charge).

It is across the road from Termini station - i'll give it that much. But there is a nice side and a bad side to Termini station. The bad side - of which this hostel is on, is dirty & noisey with constant traffic. As the rooms are small and it was quite a hot day, we slept with the windows open - but the traffic noise is constant as it is a main road. It's like 24hr 'peak' hour traffic.. if you catch my drift.

Oh did i say it was- like staying in someone's tiny flat? It's not like a hostel at all. In fact the couple had a 'domestic' whilst i was there. We all felt very uncomfortable.

There are plenty of places to choose from in Rome.. i would strongly suggest not staying here. On one of the nights i was there are 5-6 people arrived late at night. The couple were arguing for at least half and hour over something.. maybe to do with money. Well anyway.. the 5-6 people were obviously fed up with waiting.. and i'm sure they were tired too. So they walked out. I also suspect - judging from the looks on their faces that they too were surprised how different the place looked in real life as compared to the photo's on the website!
