Fiesta Terrace was a great place for my friend and I to stay in for 10 days. They have a kitchen and all the supplies that we needed, other than the food! They have a free internet, how great! It is pretty busy, but that is what is expected. We got to know Marco and his family on a personal basis, since we were there for 10 days. They are all great people and bend over backwards to help you. It was a great stay. I would recommend it to the backpacker who is in need of a good location that is quiet.

We stayed at the Fiesta Terrace in April 2004. The facility is adequate but certainly nothing more. For the most part, the rooms and public places were clean for a hostel but would not meet the cleanliness requirements travellers used to two star hotels. The hostel is conveniently located though quite a walk from the train station. The neighborhood it is located in is rather run down and filled with men drinking beer on the street in the evenings. The owner seemed unwilling to assist our group with any of our needs, it took six hours to get a single key to the room and toilet paper was in short supply or non-existant daily. We stayed for 3 nights....had I not given the owner all the money on the first night we would have left after 2 nights. For a big city hostel, it was o.k. but there are clearly better places to stay in Rome and far better managed hostels in Italy.

When I arrived in Rome on the 26th September 2003, I hadn't organised anywhere to stay, but I ran into the owner Marco at the train station.I was happy to find out that it was a very friendly, clean place. I met lots of people staying at the hostel and would highly recommend it for any travellers wishing to socialise and meet other people from around the world.

Well, after reading all the reviews on BugEurope, I was expecting an amazing hostel, but let me tell you, don't get your hopes up. The place is alright, but it's not fantastic. The rooms are clean and they aren't bunkbeds, and the hostel is close to the train station and the metro. On the negative side, the 'free laundry machine' wasn't working, the free computer is pretty crappy, and the bathrooms aren't that clean. One of the showers that I used was broken. There is a nice terrace to relax, but it does close at 10:30, so you can't socialize much after that. Marco the owner of the hostel is nice, but he also leaves at times, so if there is a problem, you can't get any help right away. I had a fun time at the hostel because of the great people that I met there, but the hostel itself is simply average.

I stayed here upon arriving in Rome halfway through September. Although I had rung and booked, it didn't seem to make much difference as they had lots of beds. The rooms weren't too big, 4 - 6 beds, and weren't bunks, another bonus. The terrace was pretty social, but as it closed at 10.30 and there wasn't a common room, this place might be a bit awkward if you're travelling in the colder months. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of hot water. The kitchen was another HUGE plus. The only problem (but not a major one depending on others in the hostel) was how thin the walls were. People who weren't being particulary loud, sounded like they must be shouting next door.I'd stay here again, and after staying at the freedom traveller upon my return to Rome, wished I'd had.NB: Don't make the free internet one of major reasons for staying. The keyboard was stuffed and the mouse fairly crappy. It took 3 times as long to do anything.

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in all of Europe. The hostel, run by a couple, is super clean, and conveniently located next to a metro station. The couple is extremely friendly and never ceased to go out of their way for my friend and I. I would most definitely recommend this hostel for anyone coming to visit Rome! Marco and Badiya are the best!!!!

Convenient location near the train station with lovely, clean and quiet rooms. This is a great stay for a great price. Metro stop is 2 blocks away. There is free internet access and no curfew. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would reccommend this place to anyone traveling in Rome.

This was the best hostel we stayed in. Marco was very friendly and helpful. The terrace was great for meeting people and there was a great atmosphere. The hostel is modern and clean - they have hairdryers and power showers! The washing machine is free to use, as is the internet and the kitchen has everything you need.If you book ahead the place is quite hard to find as there is no sign outside. It's 101 via cairoli and you have to buzz the Lazeo button (or something like that, it begins with 'L'). It was well worth it when we found it!!
