I have never, ever ever in my life witness such a place. I do not know how this 'person' can expect to run a place. Ive seen some arrogant people, but this is the devil himself! How dare you throw people out in the middle of the night cause you are a drunken no good human! Im still in shock the authorities have not shut this place down. The owner is nothing but a perverted scum bag, and that is being VERY nice!.

Do not stay here, its safer to sleep in the streets with a sign on you saying 'please kill or rob me'. I could go on about it, but everything has been seen in previous posts. I cant believe the one written by your 'so called' girlfriend, i cant believe it would be your girlfriend, you'd frighten off the blow up variety!

Do not stay here...EVER!

Sleeping on the streets would be a better alternative to staying at this place! Quite simply, don't bother. I wouldn't have given the hostel 1 star except it was necessary to submit the review.

Most of the negative reviews are spot on. Staying here puts a dampner on your whole stay in Rome. The owner kicked us out because i took a pillow from another bed in the room. He also watched as we dressed to leave and would not let us close the door. We all felt very threatened. Please dont bother with this hostel.

I got rather violently (or forcefully if you will) kicked out about at 11 pm for no good reason (if any). I would not recommend this place to anybody.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We were kicked out on our third night after booking three in advance, for no reason other than the owner was drunk! He kick us out at eight o'clock at night making us throw away the food we had just cooked. The owner was rude, refusing to turn on the air conditioning and not letting us control the telly. The only comunal area was the small reception where the owner (who was about 40) sat 'getting it on' with a twenty year old Russian blonde, he claimed to be his daughter giving the place a bad atmosphere as you could not get away from them. Everyone else staying at the hostel at the time also agreed they did not trust the owner!

Sleeping rough is better than staying in this place, and a lot cheaper.

jeeez what a place! talk about an ashole manager!

don't believe that crap about other hostels writing reviews about each other to boost their own popularity, crap as well!

he doesn't have a g/f and he probably wrote one of the reviews, the only positive one out of the lot, himself. it sounds soooo fake

Perverted, untrustworthy, petty, has serious issues, chain smoking, selfish, unfriendly, unhelpful.. are just a few adjectives to describe 'mario' the owner who contrary to his 'girlfriends' comment is always there. too much so- watching everybody's moves and actions like a hawk, listening in on your private conversations, looking for the slightest thing to reprimand you for.

try to get an early night and the blast of the tv he allows no one else to touch or view what they might want will put a stop to that idea.

No enjoyment to be found here, it will really affect your stay in rome for the worse. look elsewhere immediately as this place should not even qualify as a last resort.

regarding the comment made earlier, that staying here would help training for the marines! this place is more like a medievil gaol- no human rights here. (unless you are female and have a fondness for being hit on by overweight, dodgy italian perverts.)

I advise all women to avoid the Navigator. Mario, the owner, tried to hit on me and my 2 friends. His interest went beyond harmless flirtation and we felt very uncomfortable. We only stayed one night. CREEPY!

This hostel is in an ideal location, close to Termini station. The dorms are clean and comfortable, but the kitchen curfew (closing at 10pm) can be a pain, especially in summer, and there is no leniency with this rule. Look out if you are still eating at 9.55pm! The owner rules with an iron fist, sometimes quite literally!

However, if you and other guests stick to the rules, this place is quiet, comfy, has good showers and is secure at the best of times.

We spent 3 nights at this hostel. The hostel is nice and it is located at a very good location as it is close to the trainstation and metro station. The washrooms are clean and you share a room with 7 other people. However, you really get the constant feeling that you're being watched while you're there. One of the staff is always nearby as all rules are strictly enforced.
