I have stayed here a couple of times, and find it a convenient place to stay. However it is not a 'party' hostel - lack of communal space - but its so close to the Old Town bars etc this really doesn't matter, and the restricted kitchen facs are compensated for by the fact the hostel is in the middle of a massive food market area with loads of cheap/good places to eat/buy fresh produce etc.
The location is really close to the main bus and rail station, you can arrive in town and be checked in within 10 minutes.
Rooms are functional, the staff (on both visits a year apart) very helpful.

Definately a good place to hang out in Riga. A well located hostel with quite good, clean facilities but no kitchen. Many of the guests were long stay travellers who had got hooked on Riga (easy to do). The athmosphere is friendly though perhaps a bit male dominated. All in all a nice place to stay and also meet people.

This place is the best! I have stayed in other places in Riga and have been horrified to find I have had to be back before midnight, or the tram stops and I have to catch an expensive taxi because they are so far out of town! POSH is really clean and they wash your clothes and iron them for a nominal fee! I have never experienced that before! My wife was really happy to know that POSH had secure parking and the staff were really helpful.

This place is in a great location and is very popular. An Australian has just taken it over and is improving the place as fast as he can. We have given him plenty of suggestions for improvements which hopefully those visiting after us will reap the rewards of.
