I was there June 2007. Staff was very friendly and helpfull and the meals were great.
Showers are clean but communal (7 shower heads in one room). This is also true for some other hostels in Luxembourg and Germany and when the hostel is fully booked it can be hard to find a moment to shower alone so the best thing is just try to over come your shyness

Not as new as some of the other hostels in Lux, but it was still very clean and well maintained. Good, typical Germanish breakfast and within walking distance to to ruins (->when there try the cordials/schnapps at the ticket desk!) Showers down the hall, but clean with stalls that locked. Small town, not much to do, but close to some good hiking, and definately check out the ruins!

I arrived at this hostel in 2001- we were aimlessly travelling around and saw that Beufort had a hostel. Upon arrival it was closed until the evening so we went to the public pool. We returned and that is when the owner arrived. She was shopping- yes one staff member for 80 beds. It was OK though, there was only 5 guests there at once. I had to tell her I wanted breakfast (included) or she wouldn't have made it. She was a pleasant lady who told me all about Lux. during breakfast. The rooms were great- clean and roomy and the showers were clean although not private. We each took turns in the shower "room." Overall I'd recommend it- Beufort is a great little town with a castle. We were lucky to be there during a festival.
