I stayed here in late May, 2003. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities were very clean and comfortable. It has the feeling of a family run business, not the institutional feel of some of the bigger hostels. It is situated right next to the ruins of a castle, overlooking a series of hills and valleys that will take your breath away. There isn't much in the nearby town and the hostel food is a bit pricey (especially when the rooms are so cheap), but if you're looking for a night or two in the Luxembourg countryside, this is the place to do it! There are lots of fields and forests, cows and snails. The hostel sent a free shuttle to pick up tourists who didn't fit in the hostel in Luxembourg city, otherwise there isn't an easy way to get there. It's about 25 km outside of Luxembourg city and the nearest town with a train station is Mersch (due north of Lux. city) - which one would probably need to be shuttled to as well unless one has their own transportation (or a good bicycle, strong legs, and an adventurous spirit!). So, it is a bit out of the way, but I found it worth the effort!

A truly romantic and magical hostel. The hostel is located in a tiny village, cozy and quiet. There is a small family cafe with excellent food just a short walk from the hostel. Off the beaten path but well worth the stay. Very clean and very hospitable. Don't try and find this in the dark though.
