A fun place to hang out, but maybe a little too laid back'/quirky for some, July 31, 2007
Reviewer: martingb from UK

Pros: Very relaxed friendly atmosphere
Cons: Rooms are a bit on the small side

A really welcome addition and much needed in Skopje.

The hostel was a family house and as a result has some typical shortcomings for hostel use -e.g it could do with more bathroom/WCs when busy (true for most hostels in my experience - and space is at a premium. The decor is, well, different! Its the sort of hostel where you can laze around on the terrace or in the small garden listening/talking/drinking... The as-much-as-you-can-eat breakfast is pretty good and available until noon, clothes wash available, Internet...etc The staff are easy going but helpful The location is walkable from the main bus and train station , and also from the centre of town..there are local mini stores which stock most needs.

If the price of another hostel in town has deterred you frm calling in on Skopje, Hostel Hostel is good enough to suggest you think again. Would I use it again - certainly would!
