This is more a technicallity but the webaddress of the hostel has changed, aswell as its name to stayokay, www.stayokay.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Herbergen.showHomeHB&id=23&lng=2

If you want to go down for a good time in Maastricht, you could review www.wikimaas.tk for a summary of whats up in town.

If tennis, swimming, football or anything else are what you have in mind, you will find it worth the money and the bus ride.

If you want a hostelling, partying, city exploring experience then maybe find a pension because at 23.75 for non-HI members (21.75 if you are) PLUS 3.50 for a bus day-pass, it is FRICKIN EXPENSIVE. It could be fun at the nice bar downstairs, though, and bartenders are friendly (hostel staff not so much).

The best thing here is the breakfast. Top notch- bread, cereal, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, juice, coffee, all you want.

Dorms are clean with en-suite bathrooms, but with 16 beds per room it's necessary. It's kind of like 2 rooms of 8 beds, though, because there's a partition. The bedspreads are absolutely disgusting but the linens are fresh and heaters good so no need to use the bedspread.

Take bus 11 from town during the week, on weekends take #8 or #18 on weekends until 5pm..after that it's #28 to the roundabout that's 5-10 minute walk away through a football field.

This hostel was very satisfying, Has a great bar, good breakfast, 5 swimming pools with an indoor waterslide, main drawback is its location a little far from town but the buses work well, also not many people seem to stay there. these are problems which could be overcome by more people visiting. the campground next door is also quite good with bathroom facilities and a bar. Maastricts proximity to belguim and germany makes it a great place to stop. as welll as simply being a very nice city with amazing hasbars.
