BUG review
FAST (Free Architecture Surf Terrain) is a temporary hostel (which may be closing sometime in 2012) with accommodation in cabins like you find on construction sites, although there is a unique double room in the ‘love bug’ (a bright orange undersea capsule). The complex has a cafe/bar and restaurant plus a hostel lounge with a fireplace and free Wi-Fi and a great view of the sea. There are also several surf-related businesses on site. For much of the year, FAST feels like an alternative surfers’ community but it is more of a party hostel in summer (although it is said that the whole beach is a party in summer). It has a great location right opposite the beach in Scheveningen, a seaside suburb around a 15-minute tram ride from the centre of The Hague.
