We have stayed here five or six times and have always found it great. The kitchen is well equipped and set out to allow lots of people to cook at once. Staff have always been friendly and relaxed. The hostel is a short and beautiful walk from the very picturesque harbour of Ballintoy. The whole of the North coast is within very easy access by car (and by bike for energetic people!)The is a lovely wee pub (the Fiddlers Arms, or something like that) 2 mins walk away for a bit of traditional live music. Kids have been made very welcome. Plenty of space for them to run around outside if they are not really tiny. We even camped in their small garden last summer when the hostel was completely full and that was very cheap, fun and a big adventure for the kids. We had free use of all the hostel facilities so we didn't suffer at all. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star from me was because the actual building is quite modern and ordinary looking, unlike some hostels that would be beautiful, old renovated houses so first impressions aren't fantastic. Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with the building and it is in a good state of repair etc. All in all I hope we're back there again soon.

This hostel is very handy, it's clean and has got excellent facilities: the kitchen is huge! Campers can use all the hostel facilities, which is really good. The owner is a very friendly and nice old man. I suggest it!
