Friendly place which was a real surprise. The staff went out of their way to help and provide ideas.Handy with the cafe, but they told me of a cafe close by, just past the railway station that serves a good $5GBP breakfast. It ended up the best breakfast I had while travelling.""

I stayed in a 4-bed dorm for two nights here. The room was very clean as were the bathrooms. The bed was adequately comfortable and a reading light was provided so that you can read while everyone else is sleeping. Also, the room had a sink and mirror (handy when the bathrooms are occupied). The prices were also very reasonable (along the lines of £12-14 a night). There's a handy cafe on the ground floor which serves breakfast for an OK price of £3. You can also access the internet in the cafe, but the price was a little steep, £1 for 20 minutes. Also, Mini-Coach tours depart from the hostel everyday. I went on the Giant's Causeway day tour which was great. They also have tours of Belfast similar to the Black Taxi Tours. If there is a downside to staying here, it would be the location. The location is safe enough, but it's in that sketchy grey area between the end of Great Victoria Street (the Golden Mile) and the Queen's University area. It's also just around the corner from Sandy Row, a staunchly Prostestant enclave. Simply use common sense and you'll be fine. The walk to the city center takes about 15 to 20 minutes, and the walk to Queen's University takes 10 minutes max. All in all, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and I would probably stay here again.
