The hostel itself is very nice. Its well equipment with all the usual features: Great kitchen, lounge, rooms, and the location itself is stunning. Located within the Mourne mountains, so its a conveniant base for hikes.Its also located next to the only grocery store within the entire region, in a village called "Attical". For some reason, Attical is not located on ANY of my maps, however it is signposted from Kilkeel, and pretty easy to find.Management however, is terrible.When I showed up, she was visible irritated. After quick tour, I was charged a stunning £16 for a hostel bed, then told to wait in the lobby while she "took care of some business".The lobby, which was not heated, was freezing cold, though had a fairly large amount of literature to read.The manager never returned. I waited an hour, before giving up and heading into town to get some dinner.When I returned, the whole place was locked up, and the lights turned off! I ended up driving to Drogheda to find a bed for the night.
