I stayed at the FLAX MILL, in June, 1991. It was four pound for a bed for the night, and a pound for breakfast. next morning. The family who owned it were lovely people. I will try and have a return visit some day.

We attended the yard festival which the gentleman who owns the hostel runs every year. the craic was mighty and the alcohol beverages were fab (hehe). entertainment as usual was subperb as there was no slip ups and everyone was very friendly especially the two very good looking bartenders, didn't ctach their names but hope to next year.

The Flax Mill Hostel is one of those rare hostels that you will never forget. It was like walking into a cottage of 100 years ago and living the simple uncomplicated life that existed back then. The hosts were spectacular and made you feel like one of the family - A must for every backpacker!!!
