I stayed at this hostel over Easter 2008 by myself, i thought i might have a good place to base myself for the holiday period. The hostel is probably a better place to be when it's warmer, as it was just above zero there were times when i dropped back to the hostel. The cooking facilities are limited, but they are there. The heating and the seating area are both limited, so really don't plan on spending time there. It'd probably be a bit mad in summer. The room i had, room #5, had two single beds, and there was no window! A bit freaky at first but i got used to it! I checked out the other rooms when the doors were open and they all looked perfectly fine, with a window :) Overall this would be the place to stay in Torun, it's about a 15mins walk from where the bus drops you on the outside of the old town. BTW if you come to Torun on a major train route, you need Torun Glowny, and then take the bus from there (there are actually two train stations but the major trains only stop at Glowny, so you need to get off there). You can buy a ticket for the bus at the little booth at the bus area next to the station. For the distance involved it is probably just as easy to take a cab to the hostel, if you're not by yourself. Torun is lovely but you could really manage everything in a full day of sightseeing. Enjoy, it is worth it though and the hostel is a good place to be, nice people to help you and well facilitated.
