I got off at Krakow train station at 6am, tired and hungover i staggered up to the first person i saw and asked what city i was in, they just laughed said you must be an Aussie and handed me directions to the hostel, I thought "hey with a name like Dizzy Daisy it must be classy". This place is built like a fort, several security doors prove that they are still paranoid that Germany is going to invade and take their tourists. The rooms are massive and have more beds than a Oliver Twist scene, the heating wasnt very good but in the middle of winter you would have to be literaly on fire to be warm, the reception is great they can organise tickets and info to various tousity things for you, they also have free internet and a kitchen where if you use both hot plates at the same time it will blow a fuse for the entire building. I had only two problems while i was there, 1 was one of the receptionists invited all her friends down and had a loud conversation in the common room where all the backpackers were trying to watch tv and 2 watching tv with Polish voise overs and POLISH sub titles, I will never watch the Simpsons the same way again.

I was here 2 nights, and like all others, knew and heard there were better places to stay in Krakow (oh what a beautiful city) so i moved to another. I just didnt like the fully crammed dorms, and there were people on the floor in the one next door. toilets and common room are good though.Dont get sucked in with their tours. DO IT YOURself and save a good lot of ZloytesPlease go to Strangers Hostel instead. voted my fav hostel of my 12 week trip.

This hostel treated us inexcusably. My boyfriend and I booked a double room, only to be told when we arrived that the previous occupants had disappeared and taken the key with them. The hostel, it appears, had no spare. We were offered a room instead in an old unused room, three buildings distant from the hostel, in a poorly-lit residential building with questionable security. It was not a double-room but a children's dormitory, with single cots on the floor. It was also thoroughly remote from the hostel and facilities and a very uncomfortable place to stay.We were promised that on the second night of our stay we would be relocated to the main building and given the double we had initially booked, or a replacement. Instead, when we went on the second day to collect the key, we were told that the room had been given to someone else, and there was no more space. We were made to stay for a second night in the remote room. Although we had been told we would be charged a discounted rate because of the unsatisfactory situation, instead on checking out they attempted to charge us the normal rate for a double room, though we had expressly agreed a discount. The staff were unhelpful, obstructive and clearly out to squeeze as much money out of us as possible - the room would have stood empty had we not been put in it and was evidently not normally part of the hostel, so double-booking their available space let them make extra cash. I would expect them to do the same thing again, and would advise anyone against staying here. Go to Mama's Hostel or Nathan's Villa instead, hostels where my boyfriend and I ended up staying in the end - places where you can really appreciate what a magical city Krakow is.

You will probably have a good time here. The dorms are kind of cramped but the beds are good. There's definitely a good mood here and it's possible to meet lots of Polish students who work here or hang out in the common room. There is one internet connection, not a great one, and the stiff, worn-off keyboard they had makes typing very difficult. Also there was only one bathroom in the dorms upstairs and one in the common room. Since the toilet and shower are in the same room, it made simple toilet visits really annoying. They were building a new bathroom at the time, which will probably be done soon, however they saw fit to do the drilling for it EXTREMELY LOUD at 8:30 in the morning and nobody slept after that. As nice as the staff generally was, they seemed clueless about how this was a bad thing.Laundry is free and clothes dry on lines in the courtyard. The free breakfast is OK, common room with TV was usually fun except when an employee closed it down to have sex with his girlfriend. As for the neighborhood, it's about the same as anywhere else in Krakow.

I spent in Cracow great weekend, it s beuatiful city with an amazing nightlife. I had accomodation i Dizzy Daisy hostel and i realy like it.cosy, clean double room with beathroom and reasonable prices, perfect. This place has a hostel character.I wonder why some hostels in cracow has only 5 or 1 stars reviews. The receptionist told me that it must be a competetion job! (it is not fair)I travel a lot and I wish i could stay only in such places, I recomend this hostel.

Dizzy Daisy hostal was a very bad experience for me. It was really hard to find it and I felt very unsafe walking there at night. Besides that, I was really disappointed with the services: the dorm, the sheets and the bathroom were not very cleaned. Ah! If you stay there, remember to be the first one to take shower cause if you be the last there won´t be hot water!

I just stayed there one night. I was there and thought it was kindof nice (except for the zone). But now that I have been in several other hostels I know its not even good. IMHO.

This place is not at all what it claims to be! Words that come to mind to describe it are poorly lighted, questionably "clean", and the bathrooms in less than acceptable condition. Plus, it's kind of far from the tourist stuff. I loved Krakow, but it was certainly in spite of this hostel, not due to it!

Located just 5 minutes away from downtown on foot, Dizzy Daisy Hostel was a very pleasant place to stay. With very kind staff, I felt like I was at home. Travelling alone, that kind of atmosphere made me relax. Staff provided me information about the city and assisted me for my pleasant stay in Krakow. There are various kinds of rooms - double, 3-bed, and dormitories and the rooms are very clean. Let me also add that the breakfast was great - both quantity and quality. I am sure that I will be back to this hostel again and do strongly recommend you to stay at this place.
