Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in - excellent staff in particular (thanks Maria/Andrea), March 31, 2008
Reviewer: hoxtox from London

Pros: The staff! Really friendly. Great atmosphere - like being at home but on holiday
Cons: Nothing at all - though is not really walking distance from the centre

Turned up here at the end of a long trip and it was brilliant. The owners were really helpful and made us feel at home straight away. Breakfast is served all day - so even if you arrive later there will be some food and coffee. The TV room is great for relaxing and the internet is also available. The rooms are clean - big bonus of having someone else make your bed for you. Everywhere is clean and there is also a laundry service (very useful at the end of a trip away!)

All in all the best place I have probably ever stayed and I am already thinking of a return trip.

Thank you all :)

Pros: the nice girls at the reception and the lovely cleaning-mum. breakfast is available the hole day
Cons: when henry (one of the bosses) is in the house, its better to leave the house and escape. :(

the staff is great - like friends. a fully equipped kitchen is available for cooking. some of the guests are like habitants - they stay so long.

BUT WORST if henry arrives in the guesthouse its better to leave. he makes all the people crazy even the guests.

Everything that one can wish for on your stay is at your finger tips. Nice clean accomodation, help your self breakfast that caters everyones taste and plentyful. any information that U may seek is available by helpfull staff. My plan was to spent only a few days I have end up staying more than a month. I recommend to all travellers young & old. I will not say try it. YOU MUST YOU WILL NOT FIND BETTER PLACE. Believe me!!!

After travelling for about 8 months i had the misfortune of arriving in romania and having all my valuables stolen(e.g.passport,wallet etc.)so i had to come to Bucharest to contact my embassy, lucky for me i arrived at the best hostel ever they helped me to organize everything i had no money but that was not an issue, after waiting for 4 weeks for everything to get sorted out i could pay my bill and all was fine it was like having a holiday from travelling, clean bathrooms watching DVDs just like lounging around at home, the way a good hostel should be,not to mention been able to have breakfast at any time of the day.The staff were fantastic and made me felt right at home, anyone coming to Bucharest would miss out greatly if they stayed somewhere else.

After 4 months in Eastern Europe I didn't think perfection could truly be attained in a hostel; but I was wrong. There are some damn good hostels in this part of the world too, but even the best seem to fall a little short in some categorie (no flexible check out time, breakfast cut off, slow internet, no HBO, etc.). There's always a few small things missing, small things that one might not care for, but here, not one of those is missing for someone who might desire it.

The perfect staff, perfect facilities, the best shower in EE, free laundry, free internet, 40 DVDs... use your imagination, it's here. It's a 9 euro a night steal and if you come to Bucharest, you'd be a fool to stay anywhere else. Think you'll walk into the bathroom and have to settle for another role of pink toilet paper? Nah, you have 3 other choices here: white, lavender, or sea green. Think about that.

This is the BEST hostel I've ever stayed in. The owners and the guys who work there are wonderful, funny, and nice, the place is homey and clean, and just after a few hours I felt like part of a big family, and after a while I really never wanted to leave. It has a great breakfast, perfectly clean bathrooms, lovely bedrooms, and a super comfy, clean kitchen where its nice to spend lots of time. Its near some of the greatest things in Bucharest, and the neighborhood is cool, near a great outdoor market. I would go back to Bucharest just to stay there...

Had a great time here I have to say!

Played playstation darts and backgammon.Slept in a big comfy bed each night which was not too short and not too narrow. Had a wicked shower in the upstairs dorm shower it has all manner of jets to hit all manner of places!

Cooked Dinner in kitchen better equipped than my kitchen at home and it was full of things like spices and tomato paste which kind of help a meal if you're on a budget.

The owner even gave me loads of his beer on my first night there! Supermarkets galore in the area and close to busses to Gara du Nord.

Tranquil garden to relax in while reading a book.

I really hope the owner can keep all these facilities up since this will be the benchmark for all romanian hostels if he does!
