BUG review
Oban Backpackers is perhaps the liveliest hostel in town. Its layout lends itself to the social with the reception, kitchen, dining room and lounge all together. The dorms feel roomy and the bathrooms are fresh and bright. This place buzzes all day and at night the lounge is hopping, however upstairs you can sleep through it all.

This place is really wonderful with a lot of character and friendly staff. The bedrooms are single sex with high bunk beds so both the lower and upper feel like they have some privacy. The bathrooms are well light with clean showers and plently of hot water and toliet paper. The common room is really comfortable with couches and a pool table, although the hostel is right across from a nice Irish pub for a good drink. Breakfast isn't included in the price, but you can either buy theirs for cheap or get your own. The market is within walking distance. There are cool people staying here, but even if your only looking for a place to sleep its also quiet with people who respect your stuff and sleeping hours. All in all a great place to stay- if you can, try some of the tours offered there too, they are so much fun!

I spent 2 nights at this hostel and really enjoyed them as far as dorm room accomodation goes. Rooms are large and the top bunk is high, giving the bottom bunk user plenty of room. The kitchen is large and well equipt, but the best thing about this hostel is the wonderfull common room complete with open fire, comfy couches and a pool table. Great atmosphere and really friendly staff make this hostel fun to stay at.
