Great hostel in lovely vilage of fort Augustus near Loch Ness.

Just been refurbsihed and has new small rooms with great showers. Cosy bar with open fire and Really cool leather sofas which are magic for just chillin out. The best hostel i have stayed at so far on my tour.

I also stayed at this hostel on the 3 day Haggis tour. There was constuction going on outside and so therefore the breakfast was free. But for what it was, it should have been free anyway. The rooms were some of the nicest I saw on my entire trip. The sfaff had some strange rules, but they were nice. They also offered this all you can eat potato supper, which I didn't have but it looked good. The town is really small so there isn't much to do but I would definitly stay there again.

I came here on a Haggis 3 day tour and thoroughly enjoyed my time! The area is exceptional, it didnt look like much from the outside due to the construction work but inside it was very warm and hospitable. Beds comfy and pillows too, friendly staff and cosy little bar! highly reccomended. Cheers

stayed here for one night while on a tour and really enjoyed this place. they have a lovely wee bar and had live traditional music the night we were there, which was wonderful. the buffet meal in the evening was superb as was the breakfast (with croisants....mmmm). the staff is very friendly and they are currently expanding the hostel.

This is a great palce to stay. The rooms, the pub, and tv lounge are really cozy, not to mention the beautiful view of Loch Ness; however, we still found it really inconvenient that the numbers of shower seems not enough. We had spent much time queuing for shower. Moreover, the doors of rooms have no locks; although the main entrance seems secure, we still feel little worried.

A great hostel very close to Loch Ness. We stayed in a 6 bed room which was very cosy and had a great bathroom ensuite with a bath. The hard working staff were fantastic - they even washed and dried our laundry for 3pounds a load. The buffet dinner was also great and very filling. Overall, a fantastic hostel and I would not hesitate to come back.

The dorm rooms have a maximum of four beds (to my knowledge) and while a bit of a squeeze, the beds themselves are large and comfy. Best of all they are en-suite!! The bathrooms have been totally renovated along with the rest of the hostel (converted from an old hotel) and the "power showers" are THEEEE best I have experienced in a Scottish hostel to date. Hafta agree about the buffet dinner - my tourmates and I agreed it was more filling than it looked initially. I am set to stay there again this summer and look forward to it.

This was a very clean hostel with bedroom style rooms and bathrooms. They serve a great, cheap (all you can eat) dinner as well. The noise from the pub downstairs does not travel up to the rooms. In easy walking distance to Loch Ness. I'd definitely stay here if in the area again.
