BUG review
If you’re stopping off in Fort William this is an ideal place to kip. The cool blue bedrooms with wooden bunks are clean and warm in winter. The kitchen is fairly well fitted out and there’s a small lounge if you don’t fancy sampling Fort William’s heady nightlife!

I stayed in Bank St Lodge in spring 2006. I have tried 2 different size dormitories, and also a private double room. The only hostel within short walking distance from the main street and the train/bus station, which can be a major asset if you must catch an early train or bus. Tesco (supermarket) and Public Library (free internet) within short walking distance as well.
Small kitchen indeed but hey, at least there WERE actual cooking facilities! The bedroom was very fine and comfy, with ensuite bathroom. The hostel reflects the general atmosphere of the city: total and pure blandness - not where you'd go for partying

I recommend this hostel only to people, who will be all day out and will only sleep there. But when you want to spend some time in a cosy lounge and meet people, forget it! The "lounge" consists of three chairs and a tv in a corner of the dining room... the kitchen is very small and there are far too less tables. but it is clean and very functional. If you have the possibility go somewhere else!

I agree with the previous review. There is nothing gret about this hostel but it was nice and quiet, was located in the centre of town, and was very clean. A recomended place to stay if you are doing some walking in the Ft William area

This lodge/bunk house was great, nothing fancy but the rooms were clean and had a fairly decent view of the town. The kitchen was large and had all the needed items. The prices were good and was an easy walk to high street. Was very good budget accommodation.
