BUG Review
This affable hostel is tuned in to young backpackers who want something interesting, safe and homely. Its fireplace and window seats make for much lounging around, and there’s a smoking area for those otherwise banished to doorways. If you don’t like the colour pink, just keep your eyes closed.

I would absolutely recommend this hostel. It's very cosy, and the staff are extremely helpful. The kitchen is really good, the common room is verrrry comfortable, the view is fabulous, the internet is a really good deal, the bathrooms are clean, the showers are hot and there are bikes to rent! I totally recommend renting one and riding down the river for a few hours, it's really lovely. The hostel is just removed from the pedestrian city center, quite close to the bus and train stations, and right beside a castle! Ok, the castle isn't really that big a deal, but it's very pretty, particularly at night. It also makes the hostel very easy to find. This hostel is also one of the 'Scotland's top hostels', where you can get onto the Mackpackpackers bus tour is you want to. That was also a lot of fun, so check it out if you can.Oh yea. There's free hot chocolate. What else could you want?

The Inverness Student Hostel exudes the same warm cosy atmosphere of all the Scotlands Top Hostels. The staff are friendly and helpful, and you feel right at home the minute you walk in the front door. The kitchen is on the smallish side, but it was never a problem. The lounge rooms were great, and like all the other hostels, theres a decent library of books to read. They offer internet access and a large list of things to do and see around Inverness.Security is adequate. Though the dorms dont have lockers you can leave valuables in the safe at reception. The beds were on the hardish side, but still in the comfortable zone.Overall Id give this hostel 3.5 stars and happily recommend staying there.

I stayed at this hostel for two nights in June, and was pleasantly surprised. The hostel was clean, and the service was good. The view from our window over the River Ness was also nice. The beds (foam pads) were not extremely comfortable, but I still slept okay, because the hostel was very quiet at night. I'd recommend this hostel to anyone who wants a decent place to stay in the Scottish Highlands.

The staff here were great! The rooms were very clean and plain...not much of a lounge but all the other features make up for this. Easy walk to the train station and high street. Plenty of pubs and such in the area nearby. Definitely worth checking out :)

This hostel is ok, but lacks personality. It's a converted school boarding house, so it's well set up but poorly fabricated. Good luck getting sleep if there's a school group in at the same time. But, there's free parking and it's clean.

I really didn't know what to expect at this hostel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was really friendly, the cost was reasonable for the UK and the atmosphere was very clean and comfortable. It's only a 5 minute walk from the Inverness train station and buses going to the Loch Ness.
