BUG Review
This quiet, laid back hostel has a lovely garden and nice views with a homely feel to the living room and kitchen. This isn’t a place you’d stay if you’re looking for a wild time but is an ideal hostel for chilling and getting some shut eye.

We stayed here for 2 nights in June. Dorms were fairly clean and beds comfortable, great kitchen, nice common areas, good showers. The only thing we didn't like was the smell in the dorms: not enough ventilation and a little grungy.

Lovely hostel, our room looked out over the river and the beds were very comfortable and clean. Easy walking distance to town. The lounge is really nice with an open fire. Only drawback is parking is not on site but didn't bother us. Definately would recommend this hostel to others.

Stayed there for one night in April 2004. We paid 12 pounds per person for a twin room. The twin room had two bunk beds (I saw they also have ones with "real" double beds). The rooms are painted in a friendly yellow colour and are clean. We thought the matress was far too soft, but we slept well nevertheless. We enjoyed stunning views from our room, onto the river Ness, two churches and the little castle. Certainly the best view I ever had from a hostel room. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers. Only a short walk from the pubs. Would go there again any time!!

We stayed in this hostel for 2 days at the very beginning of March and we had great time! It's very well located few hundreds metres from the city center of Inverness and immediately close to the castle. Some of the rooms have great views of it!Inverness is a nice city with many pubs and places to hang, the hostel in itself is a cosy place to accomodate for some days. The dorms are not so big but very clean!Maybe the materasses are too soft but this is the only bad point. We had a four beds room only for us at the price or 11 pounds each and we were three! They also leave you a key of the room only leaving 5 pounds deposit. The living room is a nice place to talk with the other guests, the kitchen is fairly ok and you can even cook or drink a tea with the funny cat POPPY who might seem "the real owner" of the hostel!I strongly recommend this hostel.

I was in Inverness for only 1 night but I loved it!! It's a sweet and cool place and also 5 *s for Bazpackers. It might not be the place where everything is happening (I think the socialising spot closes at midnight) but otherwise you will find a wood burning stove and Poppy plus a fantastic location and "almost famous".

When I arrived this hostel, it turend out that they did not have bed for booth the days I was thinking about staying, when I asked about wehter there was another hostel around, he called up and asked for me, and they where not related! The kitchen was briliant, the eating and sosical area as well, the rooms was moore than good enoug. Why not five stars, it filleds up quickly, because it is small. Going to inverness book now! I mean it!

I stayed at Bazpackers in May 2003 and had a great time. The bedrooms are a little spartan perhaps, but the bathrooms, kitchen, common room are all clean and functional. The best things about Bazpackers are the friendly and helpful staff, the great views over the River Ness, the fairly central location, Poppy the cat (and Oscar the unofficial cat), and Inverness itself - a great city! Pubs - Blackfriars is a good place to meet fellow travelers, The Phoenix a gritty, authentic local, and Shot's has some good meal deals. Many thanks to everyone who lent a hand in Inverness!

Bazpackers is located close to the train station with a fabulous staff that welcomes you to the hostel. I felt very comfortable as an alone female traveler and would stay there again if ever I go back.

I stayed at the Bazpackers 3 years ago for couple nights and I loved it! The staff was international and very friendly, I still email with some of them. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is small but well equipped. You can sit by the fireplace or outside in the garden. It's no long walk uptown or to the station. You may think that the hostel has maybe changed since I was there, but I've recommended to several of my friends or travellers I met on the way and everybody liked it as much as I did. Gotta stay there!
