BUG Review
This modern purpose-built youth hostel is popular with groups and can cater for big numbers. That aside it’s clean and fairly quiet with all the facilities you’d expect in a large hostel. There are a number of common areas and quiet rooms so you can find a place away from the kids. Good for an overnight stop.
Price Dorm bed £15-16.75 (£14-15.75 HI/SYHA) Prices are in British pounds and are inclusive of all taxes.
Pros:
We could leave soon
Cons:

The staff had:- confused the booking dates and prices
(but confirmed via E-Mail), which I had (luckily) with me.
They wanted non confirmed extra-payment which I refused.
We accepted their terms, so it was their mistake to cover.- confused two bookings from Germany ,
both under ALMOST the same first and the same last name,
therefore had one room booked double. We should have moved
next morning, but I refused, because moving 4 persons takes
time, we wanted to take to explore Inverness. After a long time
they found us a room to stay in (directly at the most noisy
common room)- had no manager available to make decisions ,
they made kind of big talk in the hall or asked all staff members.
After finally knowing, what to do about the staff summoned us
at 11 pm via SPEAKER from our beds to tell us, that we won't
have to move next morning.
We were trying to sleep. It took us some time to get dressed
again. They were very rude about the time it took us to get to
the reception. I asked again to speak to the (absent) manager
and threatened to inform the SYHA about this behaviour.
Next morning he made amends, but we were already fed up
with Inverness, because we lost so much time waiting instead
of exploring the town.

All the necessities of life, a bit institutionalised as used to be a high school I think - there is no bus stop from town close and if your pack's heavy bad luck - but relieved of the pack, the Safeway is 10 mins walk and Inverness is a great base for bus exploration of Culloden, Cawdor and other castles.

Modern and well- equipped hostel that certainly lived up to its billing as the only 5 star hostel in Scotland. A short walk (10mins)out of the centre a gave it a much quieter location than most other town hostels and the comfy rooms and quiet dorms made it easy to get a good noghts sleep.
