BUG Review
This is an outstanding hostel with an excellent kitchen, a spectacular view across the sea to the mainland mountains (if not foggy), a large dining/sitting room that could be very sociable, a small lounge with piano and guitar, internet, no TV, outdoor tables (to use when there are no midges), a pub nearby (not cheap), and amazing mountain walks from the hostel door. The owners are friendly and helpful.

A beautiful hostel on a surpassingly beautiful island, this place has great atmosphere (pretty much just a big house), with a huge kitchen / dining room, and clean facilities. It's in the middle of nowhere, but that pretty much defines Skye overall. The hostel is right below the beautiful Quirangs, and you can see the Northern sea from every window. The staff is friendly. Make sure you have an up to date bus schedule, as buses rarely come by the hostel; it is possible to hitchhike.

Obviously, I also liked the hostel! Good rates, and you can get a private twin room for 20 pounds! For fabulous food, try the Glenview Inn just south of Staffin. http://www.glenview-skye.co.uk/

We've travelled Scotland and Ireland by bus and train, staying mostly in hostels, and Dun Flodigarry is tied for #1, with the hostel on Inishboffin off the west coast of Ireland being the other winner. The hill walking is breathtaking, the kitchen huge and well supplied, the common room bright and roomy and the sleeping rooms warm, dry and comfortable. The views from everywhere are awesome. The nearby hotel has an excellent pub and restaurant. The hostel owners and staff are most friendly and accomodating. All this on the Isle of Skye. Jewel within a jewel.

The hostel is beautiful and well-kept, the scenery is outstanding, and it's right on the edge of the sea and the Quirang. This is, bar none, the best hostel I've stayed in.
