BUG Review
Uig hostel has a stunning view over sea, bays, hills and headlands. Bright, cheerful and clean, it has a giant common/dining room, a lovely comfy lounge and a perfect kitchen, all with the same fabulous view. The manager is keen to help. It is near the ferry to the Western Isles, the intercity bus stops just by the hostel, and there are mountain walks from the hostel door. The curfew is waived if there is a music event in the village.

I stayed here for one night - Uig is in the North of the Isle of Skye. The town is tiny but is pleasant enough - there is not really anything to do in town itself, its main function is as a port for ferries to the Outer Hebrides. For this reason many people who use this hostel are just 'passing through' The hostel is small and friendly - unremarkable, but no complaints at all. It is a short walk down the road to a nice pub where you can get a drink. If I were passing by this way again I would stay here.
