BUG Review
This hostel is popular with groups who come to mountain bike, climb, ski and do a host of other outdoor sports. It’s right next door to the rather good Tipsy Lord’s restaurant and there are quite a few good eating and drinking places in the town itself. The accommodation is clean and the hostel has a great atmosphere, especially when it’s busy.

the hostel is nice, especially as the 3 of us got our own room, with a sloping roof and a view of the countryside (beautiful in misty late-summer 2005). unfortunately neither of the girls' showers worked when we were there (and after showering in cold water on a brisk morning i wasn't ver impressed). the kitchen is well equipped, and in the lounge/dining area they have the BEST BOARD GAME IN THE WORLD called "heartthrob, the dream game for girls"... hilarious. i would go back just for that and the lovely local whiskey served int he next-door bar. kingussie itself is fairly small, but there are some great circular walks around the town.

We stayed as a family of 4. Owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and all one would desire. It is central & has all the usual hostel ammenities. It is associated with a pub/restaurant which caters for all tastes (& ages) thus useful. Any noise from the pub (karaoke on the Sat. we were there over a May bank holiday) did not seem to carry to main hostel.
