BUG Review
This hostel was designed and is run by the owner. The large common/dining room with well-equipped kitchen is unique and spacious, open to the roof, with a nautical flavour. It has a stereo and CDs; the owner removed the TV because it spoiled the atmosphere, but it’s available on request, eg for football. There’s also another small lounge. The dorms and bathrooms are top-class, and it’s very clean. There’s full central heating as well as a wood fire. Although Leverburgh is an uninspiring village, you have to pass through if you are touring the islands, and this hostel is not far from the ferry.
Price Dorm bed £15 Prices are in British pounds and are inclusive of all taxes.
Pros:
Owner has put a lot of thought and effort into creating a good atmosphere and facilities
Cons:
Open plan kitchen/diner means that noise carries to mezzanine level. Upper bunks quite high

The owner has a vision. We were amazed by the decor - don' t want to spoil the surprise but it has a nautical theme! The first night we were in a 6 bedded room on the mezzanine level ( the 'deck') with one other person and kept awake for while by revellers in the kitchen/sitting area- who gave us fresh caught mackerel to eat . We transferred to a 4 bed room next day which we had to ourselves and was much quieter. Started to appreciate the charms of S. Harris from this location. Very clean and comfortable.
