We were at the trainstation, and people from the orange hostel came over and talked to us. They were so nice, and had this great flyer to show off. Free laundry, free internett etc.. But when we came there it was like a prison. The room we had was really horrible. Took us 45 minuts to open the window. It was that hard. And the walls needed painting badly. The beds were really uncomfortable. The location is ok though.

I am currently staying in this hostel. It is the worst hostel in Europe, by so far it isn't funny. Unfortunately the remaining hostels nearby are full so I'll be putting up with it tonite. Their description is ridiculously misleading:a) Free Internet - one computer, being used by the guy behind the 'Reception Desk', and "currently not working, fixed in 4 days". He's surfing the net himself, thats why its brokenb) Reception Desk and Friendly Staff - er, temporary card table, rude and obnoxious, no knowledge of anything, couldn't even supply a basic map of the area or tell us any informationc) TV Room - it gets mentioned on their brochure and on some websites, and a picture is shown of two people relaxing in it on some websites. False, doesn't exist - "we just started construction two days ago"d) Free Laundry - outdated coin machines on the fifth floore) Rooms 'Bright and Airy and Exceptionally Clean' - windows dont open, blinds dont close, filthy dirty rooms with old Soviet era furniture. Mattresses that are three couch cushions put together covered with a sheetf) Free Linen - doesn't mean free towel....g) Kitchen - gets a mention in the brochure. Hardly a kitchen. One tap, old stove that is too dirty to try to see if it works. All in a tiny alcove that is a haven for bacteria. And what they dont mention:Bathrooms straight from a Mental Institution Or Prison. Filthy and disgusting. Taps dont always work. Water is colored.Toilets. Stink to hell. Graffiti covered. AwfulCorridors. Seem endless, dark, and remarkably unwelcoming. You may notice that reviews on some websites are the same as mine, and are from last summer when it was open. Obviously things dont change at the Orange Hostel between seasons.I can not stress any further how bad this place is. Dont pay without seeing your room as they wont give you a refund. If it is the only place you can get a booking in the city, then change cities.
