My experience with "Senses & Colours Bagdad Backpacker" was terrible & unacceptable when we arrived the Cordoba hostel around 3 pm on January 17th after a long ride from Sevilla. The hostel door was locked and not a soul around. We waited outside for hours (with luggages), rang the bells numerous rounds, and talked to the neighbours trying to find out what happen to the empty hostel but without success. Till 5:30 pm and it was getting dark that we had to leave in dismay and seek for an alternative place to stay for that night. We didn't stay in the "Senses & colours Bagdad Backpacker" hostel and use their service but still got charge for that night in my credit card (we booked the hostel online). It's not the charge/money that I want to voice out, but the way they handle their business and customers--a simple communication note posting at the hostel's door was enough to tell people that their hostel was closed that day, and redirect customers to their alternative accommodation in other part of the town. As travellers with no easy access to computer, we didn't find out the reason of the "empty" hostel until we had the opportunity of access to a computer days after, an email from "Senses & Colours Bagdad Backpacker" about their address change. To sum up, they have a long way to learn how to run a hostel business without driving away customers.
