A 30-minute bus ride from central Palma, come here only if your holiday plans revolve solely around eating, drinking, sleeping and beaching. There's not much else to occupy one's time in this tourist ghetto of cafes, hotels, condos, internet shops, bars, and restaurants. Staff warmth is thin - the front desk is manned by a perpetually exasperated man. Each four-bed, institutional, but clean dorm room has its own bathroom. A modest buffet breakfast is included in the price; however there is no self-catering kitchen (apt, since there isn’t a decent market for miles). The upshot is that an excellent beach is a mere two blocks away, with miles of sand, beds and umbrellas in both every directions. Daytime bus service to the center of Palma is frequent, but usually standing room only. The TV lounge would have huge potential for cruising if not for the alcohol ban and otherwise dearth of onsite activities.
