the staff are a little bizarre, but all in all it makes for a memorable stay.

Booked to stay here with my girlfriend for 3 nights but got out after one. I reserved a booking weeks in advance through Pablo but they had seemed to not have us booked in when we arrived. The double we booked turned into a twin. The metal hospital style beds which were screwed to the floor, we could feel springs coming through the well worn matress and the dirty pillow was paper thin. Very uncomfortable. Someone started playing football in the corridor at 2am. Infact, it was so crap we couldn't stop laughing the whole time and I'd say avoid this dump at all costs! Considering this place got good stars in the bug we were left very disappointed and found a much better place without trying too hard...

My friend and me stayed in the LOLO Urban House for a month and never had such a good place to stay before. Azier is a really cool guy and try its vegetable soup mix! If you plan to go to San Sebastian, it's a must to stay at LOLO...! Send him regards from the two swiss electrician who did repair his table lamps... Enjoy the stay and also ask for the room with the balcony - these are the best rooms!Slainte

A small place, so everyone gets to know eachother. It has a cool room to hang out in, good kitchen and bathroom facilities, and a great location. Aside from all that, the bed was like concrete and the room was freezing cold, but I was having to much fun to care all that much. The guy running the place was really kind and helpful as well.

San Sebastian is an absolute must-visit. The beaches, the nightlife, the city, everything is wonderful and inexpensive. I would go back and stay as long as possible. Also this hostel is really great, clean, safe, friendly. The people I met there were wonderful too, everyone was pretty close together and it felt like I was staying with all my best friends.

Balconies right out there looking over the ayuntamiento. It's a great place to hang out. The people that run the place are very cool and Acier is crazy as a loon. Anyway all the hostels in this city are in the old town right near all the night spots and beaches and this one is no different. They have a well-stocked kitchen, albeit a small one. They close it down at 10pm though, which kind of sucks. They also never clean out the fridge. Bathrooms are clean, you get a set of keys for 10 euro deposit, everything is safe and...yeah the balcony is nice. Yeahhh the mattresses are sweet. Book in advance because they're usually full.

Dunno about that last review posted. When I was there everything was spotless (stayed 5 days there in July). The people are really friendly. The dorm rooms are nicely appointed, and some of them have balconies that sit on the main square of the city. Can't really get any better than this. Only gave it 4 stars because the front desk closes at 10 or 11pm, something that they don't inform people about. I got there at 11:30pm (came from Salamanca, long bus ride) and had to get someone to let me in and slept on the couch in the common room. But hey, they gave me that night for free, and they give you a key to the front door, so after that all was forgiven.

I was extremely dissapointed with this Hostel.Although in a wonderful location, just a few minutes from the beach, I found the staff very difficult, the Rooms and Shower facilities un-clean. San Sebastian is a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone as part of their visit to Spain. However If I was going again I would look for alternative accomodation (other backpackers I met stayed at Pension Fernado and had a better experience). The other option which I would personally consider, would be to stay on the beach. Enjoyed San Sebastian, but felt ripped off by this hostel

I visited San Sebastian last fall 2002 and found this hostel. They give you your own keys and the owners are super friendly. I had to room with a resident who was a male and ended up seeing his bare ass when I woke up. But I pretended not to notice. There's an equipped kitchen and the location is great, very short walking distance to the beach and all the shops!! It was quiet (offseason) and a good place to sleep.

This place acts as a booking agent to a number of pernsions in the area. You will either be placed in their place which is called Lolo House or shipped off to another pension. all the pensions are within 500m of each other. Lolo house has cooking facilities otherwise the pensions dont. Book early cos they book out quite far in advance. If you cant get in here then you can probably just roam the streets in the parte veija as they is a billion pensions and they are pretty affordable. Good clean and great locations are had by all. They are located in the parte veija(old town) which is where its at in this town, the party every night is wicked and the beach is extremely close. all the people working here seem lovely and helpful. this town is the absolute best fun and highkly reccomend it to chill and party in...not many sights so you have no excuse not to lie on the beach!
