All my dealings with Adore PLaza were excellent. I emailed them from the UK to book a room and got a very quick and polite response back from Santi, the guy who runs the hostel. He was extremely polite and always had a friendly word for us during our stay not to mention some excellent eating recommendations. He was also very accomodating about us changing the dates of our stay once there. Our room was very clean and had a balcony over the plaza where we sat in the evenings with a cold beer and watched the buskers. The bathrooms ,as has been said, were immaculate. The location, cleanliness and friendly staff mean I would recommend this pension to anyone.

Huge clean rooms. Hardwood floors i believe. Balcony. Lockers. No bunk beds. Book exchange!We stayed a few nights and loved it. Worth every penny. The woman who runs it is extremely friendly and professional, and the cleaning lady was also nice.And the bathrooms.. oh the bathrooms. Fancier than mine here at home. Cleaner too.

I stayed there last month and I really liked it. I felt at home and the people were really cool. The location is great, overlooking the main square just in the middle of the old town, the atmosphere is fun, the facilities are good and clean....I look back at my time at Adore Plaza as the best time I had in Europe so far.

I stayed there last month and I really liked it. I felt at home there and the people were really cool. Well, I actually did stay here and I must say this was the absolute cleanest hostel I've stayed at. The checkin procedure is a little wierd though, because you need to checkin at Pension Anne, and they will walk you over to this place, so I can understand why the other reviewer may have had some issues. The washrooms are amazing though, I don't think my washroom at home is kept as spotless or as well furnished. The dorm room overlooks the square, which used to be used as a bull fighting arena. The square is pretty much the heart of Old San Sebastian and you can barhop to your hearts delight (although anytime past 11pm, and you'd be hard pressed to find anything but backpackers in the bar, the locals seem to stay away).Yes, it is a little expensive, but I was more then happy to dish out the extra cash for the amazing location, and the absolutely spotless dorm room. And I found the lady working there to be quite receptive towards backpackers needs.

I would strongly advise to not stay at this hostel. We made a reservation at this hostel and the owners didnt even have the decency to be there. Leaving us to find out on our own that they had gone out and the guest who had answered the door said they wouldnt be back for the day. To make maters worse they charged us for out nights accommodation on our card and refused to refund it. I would highly recommend that you dont stay at this place. I dont really know what the rooms were like but the owners were very rude in all correspondence.
