Throughout my trip, I stayed in about 10 different hostels. However, I have to say, Hostel New York had the cleanest washrooms I have ever seen, where you're not afraid to take a shower. Although the rooms are plain, the beds are comfortable enough, each person has their own locker (which is amazing, you WILL use it for sure) and the rooms are always kept clean. The breakfast is good and the internet is free. There is no curfew or lockout, and the hostel is extremely well located. It takes a few minutes to get to Las Ramblas and the beach, you are close to a metro but it doesn't matter anyway since you probably won't need it and you are within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Overall, an amazing deal.

This is the cheapest hostel i could find when i stayed in barcelona this summer and it includes breakfest . It is very well located close to the ramblas, beach and tons of night life on a side street which is reasonably quiet. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with anything. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and there is a kitchen you can use to cook and store food. There is also a terrace you can chill out on get some sun. Very reccomendable
