Yes, the hostel is 10min from Metro and it is easy totravel all around Madrid. If you want Mc Donalds hamburger you need to get on the Metro and go intotown. CASA DEL CAMPO IS THE NAME OF THE HOSTELStaff: EVA and others are nice and helpful.I miss all my friends there and the Staff too!!!!Love U All

okey...the park is not very nice and the people in it. but nothing bad happend to us. the hostel i liked very much. its secure and a very nice place. the people i got to know there are very funny. i really enjoyed the time there and i stayed longer than i expected. the breakfast was okey. jam, chees, ham and tea, café, applejuce, rolls and more ... the space in the rooms is ok!!! its very cheap to stay there! i will go there again

This hostel is the worst I have ever seen. The one star is only because it was not really dirty. We shared a bathroom with another bedroom (4 people). The room (not much larger than two stock-beds with a small corridor in between an behind) we stayed in was for 4 people but was already too small for us two, the smell in the bathroom was horrible. If I had to imagine how it is to live in a prison, I guess it would be like in this hostel.Even worse the breakfast: every morning only one sort of jelly(strawberry) and cooked ham, not even cheese. The breakfast room was almost as cold as outside every morning. (in January) The staff did not do anything being asked for some heating or something different to eat. Altogether this hostel sucks sooo much stay away and pay a little more for a more decent hostel that is not so far outside the city centre, although you like hookers strolling along the long and shaky walk from the lago metro station and the hostel from dusk till dawn.

It seems like it is a 5 km walk from the metro to the hostel along a nice hooker stroll with used condoms and activity all around the clock. Despite this, the hostel has a nice large courtyard, decent food and a fun pub. The courtyard is great in the evenings when it's time to party!A major advantage to this hostel is that it is not overly busy in the summer high-season. We called from the train station a few hours before and there were plenty of beds. However, it did fill up by the weekend.All in all, it is a decent place but if you plan to party in the city centre, plan to spend a lot of money on taxis as the metro closes around 1 AM. Oh, and then there's the hooker thing...

not sure where the other reviewer stayed? the hostel is in a large park,and a 10 minute walk from the metro. i walked past around 8 prostitues from the metro to the hostel (@ 3pm in the afternoon), with 2 or 3 doing business right out the front of the hostel. the hostel itself is run down, and looks like it used to be a youth detention centre, with barred up windows, etc. the staff were friendly, but it felt a little unsafe. the rockabilly barman in the hostel bar was cool though.

excellent place to stay, friendly owners, clean place and an all round good atmosphere.loved every minute of it!
