The hostel is in a good location in the center of Madrid. Rooms are interior with window to the corridor. The air conditioned is not working in the night and no renewing the air. All rooms smell as cheese :-( . Breakfast is really poor. Rude personal at the desk, mainly the homofobic girl. A kind of illegal travel agency is attended by some "macho men" with rude comments when they think the guests don´t understand Spanish. Top beds are difficult to jump and go down is a crash risk unless you have a parachute. Computers (only 2) are extremely slow and bad maintained. Wifi only in some parts at snail velocity. Bathroom with small cabins, you need to use the toilet with the door open or the other option is to kiss the door.
I heard that some rooms have toilet inside and some other ones exterior window which makes it soooooo noisy that is not possible to sleep.
Check in takes ages doing the bureaucracy, check out is a little bit faster if you don´t leave the sheets in the bed and you need to go up to take it.
Good place for "macho men" horny straight girls or drunk.
Recommended only as last option.
The only good thing is the private locker for free in the room and electronic key.

This hostel was fine. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was great. It is in a good location and easy to find. My only problem with this hostel is that you HAVE to leave at about 10am while they clean, so dont stay here if you want to sleep in after a heavy night!

All in all I really enjoyed this hostel, very clean and the well-equipped kitchen meaning you can eat cheaply for once. I simply have two gripes, albeit quite big ones: - you have to leave the hostel at 10:30 each day!- and the breakfast is pretty poor contrary to somebody's previous comments. I'm sorry but a cup of tea and a few biscuits is not breakfast. Still the position and the people are great and don't let those things put you off too much.

Very good location near everything, clean rooms and bathrooms and a fully useable large kitchen. Plus friendly people who have been staying there for months will be your tour guide out at night if they're still there.
