Our family was new to hostelling and had just come from a fantastic experience elsewhere so our expectations were high. However, I suspect that this hostel is more like what you would expect of a hostel (from my limited experience). There was nothing wrong with it. It seemed very efficiently run and the meals were fine. The room we had was a little small with very little space for luggage but it was compensated for by the huge balcony that we shared with just one other room. I guess the only down side was the long walk from the station. Take my advice and theirs - get the bus. I would probably have given it a higher rating if it was not such a come-down from my prior '5-star' experience.
