This hostel was beautiful. Such adorable rooms with shutters on the windows and a good view. Very nice and helpful staff. Good price (cheapest and nicest hostel of our trip). Clean and comfortable. The hostel is also easy to find (follow the signs). We didn't eat the breakfast (you have to pay more) but I heard it was good. And don't forget the POOL.

I have stayed in many hostels throughout my travels in Europe and I can truly say this was my best. Yes it is distant from the center of town and there is a huge hill to walk up in order to get there, but there is a bus (#5) and when you do get there its all worth it. There is a swimming pool, ping pong table, bacci ball set up and my favorite the garden of eden as I called it, where I spent a lot of time chillin with friends and meeting many new people of all ages and from all over the world. The staff was very accomodating and there when you needed them, but at the same time not always in your face. The rooms where clean along with the showers. I recommend waking up for breakfast there because if you were like me on a tight budget, restraunts are very expensive in town. If and when I go back, I will for sure be staying there once again.

Very very nice dorms - lots of sunlight, comforters, clean, etc. Bitch of a walk if you're getting in late at night - but you can always take the bus. Didn't eat the breakfast, but there's a Migros right down the road. Only downside to the place is that they do have families that come and stay (screaming 3 year olds at 7 am).

However, over all, much nicer than your average hostel.

After arriving from Canada seriously jet lagged Lugano was my first stop...I ended up staying 7 nights instead of just 1! the rooms are bright clean and new! hard wood floors and rooms with sky lights! Staff are friendly and helpful. The only down side is hiking up the huge hill to get to the hostel, with a pack on a bus ride from the station is essential! and even then its still a 10min slog up a long driveway! Hint the bus stops past the road the hostel is on. The sign posted to show you the way is difficult to see. Lucky for me this happens alot and the locals were kind enough to wave me on my way!

The hostel at the top of lugano and the town centre at the bottom. But its a beautiful walk down with gardens and small shops along the way. By far my favorite hostel to date!
