BUG review
This hostel has the usual facilities that include a TV lounge, kitchen, dining room and a smoking room and it has an institutional feel to it. It is located directly across the road from the sea and it’s 15km north of Aberystwyth.

About BUG's hostel reviews

Quiet sandy beach across the road
20 August 2008

Pros: The beach, the views, peaceful and friendly
Cons: Limited buses anywhere else- but station next door! Not the greatest resort

Take the kids..... a family hostel- lots of gear for kids, nice kitchen , playroom, teenage den, seaviews from most rooms. Got a proper bed this time- very comfy. Kids liked TV in our room! Fabulous dune walk to Ynyslas 3 miles north. Bizarre petrified forest on beach at low tide.

Centre is a bit grim- but that is the other end of this one street resort. Great chippy down the road and handy general store just down the road.

Borth is the type of place you stop off after a long journey then continue the rest of your journey the next day. But, Borth is perhaps better described as a long street contains a beautiful bay, long country walks and the hostel overlooks the sea. The food is excellent, the beds are comfortable with sheets included. The rooms are warm and there is a television room, a games room and plenty of information for the whole family. It is well resourced with a well equipped kitchen if you tend to cook yourself and a back 'garden' with kids' hopscotch and rooms for group activities including a small kitchen and toilets.
