Great small hostel for walkers looking to tackle Snowdon from the Pyg, Miners, Horseshoe or Watkin routes. Moel Siabod and southern Glyder routes out the front door. Great walk along rocky river to Betws Y Coed for Cream Teas- easy 2 hours down hill.On sherpa bus routes- bus stop outside. Quiet village with cafes and pubs- excellent veggie options at the Bryn Tyrch next door.
Monster breakfasts and staff all keen walkers with bags of advice. No dinners, but kitchen and little shop.Cosy lounge. NO TV- great!
Games available to hire for kids
Grounds small and steep for little uns.

Not bad at all. Within easy distance of Snowdonia. Nice setting, close to a local pub. Like all youth hostels, what you get is basic, but a clean room and a hospitable welcoming make up for this. For the price well worth a look.
