Maybe I'm spoilt but I think hostels should have a communal kitchen for backpackers to use to make their own cheap meals. Don't get me wrong - I think this hostel is lovely - great building, (mostly) friendly staff who are keen to tell you about stuff to do in the surrounding district, and very nicely fitted out with really comfy beds, beautiful carpets and paintwork etc., but its really more of a bed and breakfast with shared dorms. 8:30 till 9:30 was also a wee bit late in the day to offer breakfast as lots of people want to start off early in the morning. Also found that there was a long queue for the small number of showers and toilets in the morning. On the plus side its really close to the train station, and they provide bedding for you, but not towels.
