BUG review
This excellent hostel is in an old stone house that was the birthplace of Lawrence of Arabia. Accommodation is in good quality sturdy bunk beds with real mattresses and the extensive common areas feature a cosy bar, a café/dining room, a small but fully-equipped kitchen and a TV lounge with a log fire.

Spent one night here in August 2005, while traveling with the Carry On "One and Only Tour" group -- which I highly recommend, by the way....The Snowden Lodge is a pretty modest place.... and might have dissapointed me if I'd stayed longer; but it was quite satisfactory for one evening. The dorm room seemed cramped, and the beds were crowded together. The bathrooms were clean. There was a nice sitting room. And the place was quiet! Can't speak about the staff, since I didn't interact with 'em -- but the group I was with had no difficulties....Had an excellent meal at "The Golden Fleece," just down the street.

this hostel is great - clean, secure and a nice place to hang out. Carl (guy who runs the place) was really helpful. Only drama was your not suppose to bring in your own alcohol so be discreet is all i can say. I got away with it but hey, there's a bar on-site so u can't drink there but apart from that, its a fab place. Loads of good walks, comfy bed and a good atmosphere. No curfew and tollerant guests when I was there so like I said, check it out and book ahead as it seems pretty popular. Kitchen facilities are good - icooked meals the whole time rather that buying anything. There's a SPAR supermarket in Tremadog which is limited so if u want more choice go to Porthmadog SPAR or the co-op located a st behind the main one (normal opening hrs apply) for more options. Great location to check out snowdonia from - ask Carl!

Well worth a look!! The accomodation is clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. If you are looking for a quiet time and just want to chill this is perfect as no one will interfere. A light breakfast is provided but if you are extra hungry you can pay a small price. This is the same for dinner and lunch.(The food is well worth a try!!). The bus service links from just outside are excellent and Snowdonia is in easy reach. Definately recommended as more than likely will please everyone with a choice of good value for money rooms.
