BUG Review
St Davids YHA offers homely accommodation in old farm buildings 3.25km from St Davids. It is a well-maintained and very relaxed hostel that is popular with hikers and nature enthusiasts.
Price Dorm bed £13 (£11 HI/YHA) Prices are in British pounds and are inclusive of all taxes.
I stayed here for a night recently and found it to be a wonderful place. The setting of the Youth hostel is very idyllic. The Youth Hostel is rated 1 star by the YHA itself cos there arent too many facilities here. No dining room, but there is a kitchen. It is very out the way, which might be discomforting for some people; it is a long walk to the town of St Davids itself. But there is whitesands beach nearby and the surrounding countryside is really beautiful, so that counts as a plus. If you dont mind roughing it a little, St Davids is a great place. Getting to St Davids can be a bit of a problem though.

I stayed at St David's YH in June 1999 so it must be said that this review may be slightly outdated. However, I would like to say a few things about the YH. It is situated in a very beautiful area, next to a small mountain (very nice to climb) and close to Whitesands beach. Beautiful walking paths nearby and the "town" St Davids is in itself fascinating (especially for a medievalist, like me). The drawbacks with this hostel is, first off, that it is quite far from town. It will take you about 45 min. to walk along the main road - if you do not know the short-cut the receptionist told me about the last day of my visit...now, for the standard of the hostel: it is much like a rebuilt farmhouse, which is OK because it is a nice house, but I did not like the fact that the women's "dorm" was a very small, cold and damp room with really tiny windows. We were really crammed in there, never a good thing. Also, the shower had burning hot water and a residing spider family.Apart from that, I enjoyed my stay.
