Warm, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt comfortable in their hands

Pros: truly, the people were what differentiated this place for us.
Cons: No internally accessible Loo IN THE APPARTMENT which was a bit difficult for rainy midnight dashes

We stayed in the apartment adjoining the main bunk house. We had full use of all of the bunkhouse facilities but it wasn’t completely clear that there wasn’t a loo in our self-contained nest. It was a surprise to find that we had to grab torches and sowesters when needing the loo.

However,

This was my first experience of bunk-housing and I'm hooked - basically because of the people. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable – without being in our faces or encroaching on our holiday. They put themselves out (subtly), made sure my children had access to their own child’s toys and helped to turn our spiders nest into a warm and snug cocoon. We had a care-free week – the children were invited to climb and scout their acres of land and I felt welcomed .

Would I go again? Yes, verily yes and next time, I’d hope to get some of the children booked onto their activities. I was a little concerned about booking them on with strangers but they have personal and professional experience of children and I’d be comfortable booking mine with him next time we stay. I felt reassured when the owners saw the children heading to a danger and cautioned them– they know their own land better than I and they felt comfortable enough to point potential dangers out to the children.

Weeks after returning home I have great memories of my surprise at having booked 3 days, knowing I could just bag up our holiday and dash home if it just wasn’t for my Hotel-accustomed self but no, it was lawless, unstructured fun and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time at Absolute Adventure.

I can only hope this post goes some way to thank them for their warmth.
