BUG review
HI – Marin Headlands youth hostel is in a spectacular setting in a national park at the northern end of the Golden Gate Bridge. Although only a short distance from the city, and only a five-minute drive to Sausalito, it is in a natural area where you can’t get a mobile phone signal. The hostel is a big old building, dating from 1907, with lots of character. Amenities include a big fully-equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils and a big wooden centre work bench. There is a big common room with dining tables plus a lounge area with sofas, a fireplace and a piano. Downstairs there is internet access, a laundry and a games room with a pool table, table tennis and table football. HI’s rules prohibit alcohol, which means that you can’t enjoy a glass of wine with your dinner.
