BUG review
This big 400-bed hostel on the corner of 7th Avenue and 118th Street in Harlem is a clean and well-maintained place to stay with facilities that include a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area; a TV lounge; a games room with pool table, table tennis, TV and lockers; a 24-hour cafe; a courtyard with a barbecue and a nice rooftop terrace. Unfortunately this hostel feels a bit sterile and the rule prohibiting alcohol dulls the ambiance even further.

Convenient location just north of Central Park in Harlem. The facilities are nice and new. Stayed in a comfortable 6 person dorm with a nice bathroom and a new full kitchen. A little confused by rules like NO FOOD IN ROOMS (but we had a kitchen) and NO SLEEPING BAGS. Both are $25 penalties. Also this place is alcohol free ($25 penalty again) That stuff aside this place is great and is excellent bang for the buck in expensive NYC!
