i stayed in the dorm which is a cute little hut (bure). no one else was staying in the dorm with me so i had the hut to myself so they put a double bed in for me. the food was amazing. the cooks looked well after me as im a vego. and i was always full at the end of a meal. the staff are truely welcoming and made me feel like home. the place is really remote and only 5 other guest were there while i was which was great. diving was awsome. lots to see and only a small group of us. 4 ppl diving. and no other boats in sight. some thing i had never experianced before. the dive operation was well organised and very professional. the trecking was amazing. i went on a 1 day treck which ended up in a family settlement with a nice refreshing waterfal to jump in. and we had kava (a traditional fijian drink) and danced with the locals. a fun experiance i will never forget. waisalima is really off the beaten track and very remote. seriously true fijian culture. there was these 2 guys from australia there while i was and they had been there a month cooking their own food and they were planning to stay another month. i think waisalima excepts ppl as a home stay aswell which was what i will be doing next time i go. and stay for longer then 10 days. i really reccommed it to any one. www.waisalimafiji.com
