this resort was ok, the island hasn't much spark unless you are a dedicated kite/wind surfer. macdonalds is run by aussies but its the local fijians that do all the work. they are friendly and work hard to please. the whole island has a lack of water so it isnt unusual to run out during the day. you are provided with drinkable water so dont drink out of the taps.
the dorm room we had was clean with a good kitchen for self catering. there is a small shop in bethams resort next door. The resort has cheap kayaks to hire and its possible to go all the way around the island. The snorkling is just of the peer but is poor quality and the coral is severly bleached. jump in at night for a phospurescent light show.
