I came across this site recently, however my stay at Adi's Place was 6 years ago. So who knows what may have happened since then?....Anyway, fantastic food, fantastic location. Friendly and low-key. Attentive hosts. I wasn't looking for a resort, or anything that remotely resembled organized activities. I wanted to be off the beaten track and I found it here. I had hired a boat to bring me over from Lautoka unannounced (my naivete), so Adi was not expecting anyone. In fact she was not there. I was met by a younger girl (daughter?) who wasted no time in getting me some food and mosquito coil for the bed in the dorm.
What else can I say about it? It was great. Hiked arond the island on the footpaths. Wandered over to Wayalailai over the sand bar at low tide. Was invited to a village ceremony in Naboro. Was invited to a beach cookout on an uninhabited island in the middle of the lagoon. Next day, a professor of Geology from Universtiry of the Pacific in Suva, turned up with an assistant. He was mapping the islands. My BSc is in Geology. We had a lot to talk about. Brilliant time. Hated to leave but had to move on to Taveuni.
