After having scavenged the entire island, it's difficult to find a better location. You are 5 mins walk aways from "le petit village" which is basically the second village on the island, consisting of a mini supermarket, a newsagent and a few restaurants, and internet access. Other than that, depending on who you are and how long you are staying for, Josyanne (the owner's wife) will charge you different rates, sometimes for the same thing. Don't believe me? Ask your neighbour at dinner, you'll see what I mean. She bends the rules in every imaginable way. However you are on the best beach, the waters are divine and you trully feel in paradise. The rooms are more than just basic (a bed... and that's it). There are no plugs, apart in Josyanne's office which is inconveniently closed at the times you need it the most. Beware of the internet she provides its slow and expensive (its expensive everywhere, but her's is a disaster). Also, don't be fooled: there are some websites you are allowed to view for free eg google, gmail etc . On the login screen it will say you can visit them for free without having to login. Try convince her, I doubt she'll let you. If you have a laptop handy, go in the kitchen and you'll have a wireless connection: you can access gmail and google without paying. You'll get to love and hate this place. Sorry if I sound negative, but I'm sure most people who have come here will agree with me. In conclusion, if you want a cheap sleep come here, don't come expecting a friendly hospitality.

After spending five weeks in Moorea, and having met numerous backpackers running over to moorea camping, I am bewildered that anyone would spend more than one night here! It is on a ok beach, while moorea camping is on the best strip in moorea. The owners absolutly hate travellers. The land is owned by a wealthy family, that should not be in the hospitality field at all! Many locals acces the property and steal items. Security is a joke. The one plus ithat it is closer to shopping and internet than moorea camping (10 minutes closer). Moorea camping is cheaper for some unknown reason. If you can book anyother place in moorea, you will save yourself a lot of misery. Stay at Chez Nelson if fourth world conditions and rude management is your thing.
