I stayed here for 2 nights in December 2006 and (despite the negative reviews I'd read) found it great. You have to remember you are paying $30 CAD in a place where an average hotel costs CAD $180.The plumbing works, the water is safe, the place has fans to keep the rooms cool, the beds are clean and totally bug free.The guy who runs it is absolutely lovely, very helpful and patient with my average french. Its a little hard to find from the airport - its pretty much opposite the airport but up a steep driveway and you can only see the sign coming from the other direction. If you walk more than 5 minutes, you've gone too far.Beautiful setting - amazing gardens, views of the ocean. I highly recommend it to backpackers in Tahiti. Without a doubt.
