I booked with Teamo several months before my group of 10 arrived there on August 17th 2007. I had been in contact with Kay TERIIEROOITERAI, and was greeted by her daughter. Both spoke English very well. For our group, we had two rooms put aside for us, both equipped with a private bathroom. We had just arrived to Papeete from a sail boat, and had been 37 days without a proper hot shower. It was so very refreshing to have a hot, naked shower. We all loved having the privacy for that.
Kay's daughter joined us while we were all relaxing before heading out for the afternoon in Papeete. It created a very nice atmosphere, and I was more than pleased to meet Kay that evening, after emailing for a few months organizing our stay at Teamo.
We were able to arrange a taxi to the airport for the following evening, and Kay was able to communicate for us rates and pick-up time. We were able to store our bags there for $3USD while half of us visited Moorea the day after our stay. The prices were great. The beds were squishy and comfortable. The TERIIEROOITERAI family was very hospitable and it was mutual sadness when we left after one night.
I would highly recommend this hostel. I would stay there again. I've seen hostels in various European locals, and this one impressed me more than those. The website is: http://chez.mana.pf/~tahitihostel/en_contact.htm
Their email is: teamohostel@mail.pf
the address is 8, rue du Pont Neuf in Papeete, TahitiJenna

Stayed twice. Came in late at night 4/12/06 and was immediately served and shown the premises amenities and
my bunk. It was clean. Newly painted. Plenty of hot water and shower faciilities to chose from. Toilets clean enough to use. Storage lockers available for the back pack etc. Bedspread was clean with pillow. Was able to stay late and
socialize with out supervision or problems. Like the manager, whose name I forgot. He was honest and gave me my $10.00 key deposit, told me how to get around town and even gave me money I left on the counter. First choice on returning stay. Prices excellent $20.00 night, cheap by Tahiti standards
